ITINERARY

 

Hanoi handicraft village tourPick up at your hotel and then depart for Dong Ky village which was known as the “firecracker” until 1995, when the government banned firecrackers. The village now survives by producing beautiful traditional furniture inlaid with mother-of-pearl. You can have handcrafted furniture custom-made here. Then we will go to visit Dong Ho village. This village is very famous for traditional folk painting. Tourists can know how the villagers here paint all the pictures on special paper named “Diep” by natural colors.
The next destination is But Thap pagoda, built in 17th century under Ly dynasty, a unique architecture. Two 13-m towers, Ton Duc and Bao Nghiem towers, are made of white rock, making the pagoda seem higher, more majestic and peaceful. Some remains of the 17th century are kept here such as statues, valuable donations, Nine-Story Lotus Tower, Tuyet Son statue, Bao Nghiem tower, and Xa Ly tomb. Have lunch at the local restaurant.
After the lunch, we visit Bat Trang village (for 30 minutes). When arrive Bat Trang village, you will walk around the village to see diversified ceramic & pottery products such as: vase, glass, picture.... You will know more about the people’s life and the culture through the production at village and village history. Arrive Hanoi. End of tour.
